A lesson in the value of integrity.
Galileo has the integrity to tell the truth he has discovered about the universe, but he pays a great price. In Pisa, Italy, Galileo
demonstrates with two balls that Aristotle was incorrect in his theory; Galileo is asked to stop teaching astronomy at the University.
In Venice, Galileo's friend Sagredo works with him to prove that the planets revolve around the sun. Pope Paul summons Galiloe for
heresy and makes him agree not to teach that Aristotle was wrong. When Pope Paul passes away, Galileo publishes a book on his
theory; Galileo is sentenced to house arrest for the remainder of his life. After Galileo's death, Sagredo smuggles his manuscript to
Holland to be printed for all the world to see. Includes 48-page activity book
